WHAT?
Graphic Design and Art, creative as well as technical: from business cards, posters, book covers and logotypes to websites, webshops and web developement, from cardboard robots to paintings.
FLIS art & design likes to take time and sit down with you to talk about what it is exactly that you need, what your wishes are, why you want it like that, for who you'd like to use it and how we will realise this. This takes time, but also saves time because it sets our goals and creates a clear view of where we will be heading.
I love to discover what a clients needs, instead of what he or she wants, and make him want what he or she needs.
WHO?
FLIS art & design is Maaike Flissebaalje, born in 1974, educated as graphic designer, artist as well as webdeveloper, painter and photographer. The diversity of disciplines creates room for original 'out of the box' concepts. Most of the time the concepts will originate from the motto 'less is more'.
Maaike is specialized in creative solutions and eleborations and is also technical competent (including php and databases). In case of large extended technical projects (like a website with an extended database, or a movie project) an additional expert might be asked to join the project.
WHY?
FLIS art & design loves to work for people who know and appreciate good design, as well as the impact it could have on their business.
WHERE?
FLIS art & design is based in Utrecht, and sometimes works from Amsterdam and Berlin. When you make an appointment this can take place anywhere in the Netherlands, and in this digital age even anywhere in the world.

WAT?
Grafisch ontwerp en kunst, creatief én technisch: van logo's, visitekaartjes, affiches, boekomslagen en huisstijlen tot websites, webshops en webontwikkeling, van kartonnen robots tot schilderijen.
FLIS art & design doet echter niet aan "u vraagt, wij draaien". Ik neem bij voorkeur de tijd om met u om te tafel te zitten en te bespreken wat u precies wilt, waarom u dat wilt, voor wie u dat wilt en hoe we dat dan gaan aanpakken. Dat kost tijd, maar in de praktijk levert het ook tijd op omdat we zo onze doelen helder krijgen en duidelijkheid scheppen.
Ik vind het geweldig om te ontdekken wat een klant nodig heeft, in plaats van wat hij of zij wil, en er vervolgens voor te zorgen dat de klant wil wat hij of zij nodig heeft.
WIE?
FLIS art & design is Maaike Flissebaalje, geboren in 1974, opgeleid als grafisch ontwerper, tevens kunstenaar, webontwikkelaar, schilder en fotograaf. De afwisseling van deze disciplines creëert ruimte voor originele en 'out of the box' concepten. Daarbij wordt vrijwel altijd uitgegaan van het motto 'less is more'.
Maaike is gespecialiseerd in creatieve oplossingen en uitwerkingen en beheerst ook de techniek (inclusief php and databases). Waar nodig wordt bij uitgebreide technische projecten (denk daarbij bijvoorbeeld aan een website met uitgebreide database, of een filmproject) een expert ingeschakeld.
WAAROM?
FLIS art & design werkt heel graag voor mensen die goed ontwerp herkennen en waarderen, en inzien wat goed ontwerp voor hun bedrijf kan betekenen.
WAAR?
FLIS art & design werkt vanuit Utrecht, Amsterdam, en soms vanuit Berlijn. Wanneer u een afspraak maakt kan dat in principe in heel Nederland, en in deze digitale tijd zelfs overal ter wereld.
